Are you ready, ready to release internal pain to find confidence, clarity and direction for your future, to live a life of meaning, fulfillment and contribution to trust your intuition again, but something's been holding you back, you've come to the right place. Welcome. I'm a Ian Hawkins, the host and founder of The Grief Code podcast. Together, let's heal your unresolved or unknown grief by unlocking your grief code. As you tune into each episode, you will receive insight into your own grief, how to eliminate it and what to do next. Before we start by one request, if any new insights or awareness land with you during this episode, please send me an email at info at the Ian Hawkins coaching.com. And let me know what you found. I know the power of this word, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it. It's okay that you're cold immersion therapy no longer kills you. In fact, it motivated me keeping you stuck anyway. Or your kinesiology or energy healing or sound therapy or, you know, add whatever emotional regulation strategy that you is your go to. Now, no doubt, it's been an important part of your growth and your healing journey. It's just as you move forward. And it's helped you in so many ways, and it's helped you thrive in so many ways. What have actually rescued and rescued you to a certain degree from wherever you're at. But it becomes for many a dependency that ends up replacing an old part of your life you've grown dependent on almost like an addiction. You think things like I need this, to get through this next day, this next week, this next month, or whatever time period. The need is strong, right, like addiction. But what is even more strong is your innate ability to regulate your own emotions, to get to get to let go of those blocks from the past. And to find the motivation and drive and belief. So you can get shit done.

You can actually do this yourself when you can unlock the best strategy for you. And you know how to access this, this innate part of you. This is my absolute favorite realization that my clients achieve. That when they realize they're more powerful, and they've given themselves credit, or hear back from them six months, a year or five years longer after we've worked together. And they're still so excited to share how their life has got better and continued to do so. They know that had to do the work themselves. But they also acknowledged the impact of the work that we did together. It reminds me of the saying that I mentioned in a previous podcast around fishing for someone where you feed them for a day, but if you teach them to fish, you feed him for a lifetime. And that's always the intention for me. So, for you, learning to self regulate. You know my gauge is strategies meditation journaling. And there's other depth to both of those things. In terms of the written word and the depth of meditation, you can go to just fantastic ways to develop your own self regulation to be able to navigate what you've got going on on a daily basis, never feeling stuck again. Or even if you do because you're human. You know what your strategy is to get you back on track. And it says self regulation, peace. The ability to regulate your own emotions, your own thinking could be the single greatest skill you could possess. Because what it does is it allows you to face every single moment knowing Do you have all of the power, you have all of the capacity to deal with that situation. And sure, there are times where getting help will be beneficial. Don't get me wrong. But knowing that you can do it on your own if you need to. There's so much power in that. You'll never get into that dark hole again, where you feel like you can't get out

to start the journey now, if you haven't already, actions key, start journaling, start meditating. start prioritizing you, making time for these crucial skills. So you can start making the changes that you've been talking about for so long, take action. actually live that best life that you've imagined so many times.
