I know the power of this work, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.
So my previous video or if you're listening to this on the podcast, in my previous episode, I was talking about what it is you write in your journal, how you keep a journal, and some ideas around that. Okay, so what else can you use your journal for? Now, a big one for me. And I have to give credit for this to my Kinesiologist probably about, or maybe three, four years ago, or maybe not even that long. And she said to me, and thank you, Alison, if you're watching this or listening, she said to me powerful exercise would be to have your journal. And when you are in meditation to write what comes to you, because I often just getting lots and lots of ideas and thoughts and then they were sort of coming in and going out in the mud, forget about them. Now he was me very much in my strict and I this is I found this way of meditating, this is how it has to be, he can't interrupt the flow and all these different things again, trying to control too much. And it was just a simple manner, just just pause, write down what you need to write, it's an important idea, you want to retain it, write it down, and then go back in your meditation. And part of me is like, not sure about that. I'm not sure about that. I really like that the meditation process. And when I get into that deep place, like the last thing we'll do was break that. But I tried it. And it worked. And not only that, but I was able to keep myself in a partial meditative state while I wrote. So I can do writing. Now in that state, I get into meditation, an idea comes to my head, it starts to flow in my mind. And then before too long, I'm like, Ah, this has got out of hand, I need to start writing. And I'll start writing. And suddenly I've written two or three pages of content, either for an article or a podcast episode. Or if you again, if you're listening you might have you might have heard me flicking through pages while I'm doing a podcast episode. It's because there's been notes that have come to me in a meditation that I want to make sure I include and, and also just ideas to create better content to make a bigger impact on people's lives on the world. I want to be able to write those down too. That's a really a big one. It's a mix of the two things that I probably talk about most on this podcast is is journaling and meditation and bringing them together to create some magic. If you literally sit there in that space, asking questions. And then when you receive the answers in that quiet in that stillness, pen, the paper. Now I like this idea people talk about prayer. What's prayer? What's meditation? And the best description I've heard is, well, if prayer is talking to God, well meditation is receiving the answer. Now, whether you're religious or whether you believe in a higher power or not, there is something about that space, where you ask your higher self or your unconscious mind your intuitive mind your godlike mind. Questions, and you sit there and you breathe, and you find stillness, and you're allowed, allow yourself to slow down, then you will get answers back. Beyond the thinking and the control, you will find answers. Have your journal there on hand because those that stuff is gold, and you want to retain it, pen to paper, and then your journal becomes even more of a place of truth of value, have the power to transform your life. And if you're that way inclined to transform the lives of people in your circle. And whether that's your immediate family, whether that's friends, whether that's your workplace, or whether you're someone who has a role that is service to others. So, unlock the power of the journal and meditation together, combining the two. And watch the magic unfold. As always share your experience in this space, ask any questions. And yeah, I'd love anything that you've learned because I'm sure there are other things that I don't know, and guarantee that in this space and I'm always willing to try other people's ideas and see what works and what doesn't. Enjoy.
