Have you heard of the seeing limp. There's a theory that everyone has a singing voice. Everyone has the ability to sing to fine tune. At some point, though, when you tried to sing, maybe it was from a very young age. Thinking about little babies now they, they they engage in music really early. And you may have got a certain reaction from family good, bad, indifferent. And even at that age, your brain takes meaning from whatever the reaction was. Now, the seeing limp theory is that you got a negative reaction. And then each time you tried to sing after that there was a limp caused by this injury that happened from the from the comment or the reaction. So a emotional injury. And so the injury sits within us until it's healed. We generally aren't taught to heal those things. And especially if no one knows what's going on in our brain at a young age, how would anyone know what's going on. So slowly, we add more of this limp, every time we sing we get a different reaction might be a reaction from our self now, because we've buying into this belief of the meaning we created around somebody else's reaction. So then maybe someone laughed. And they were laughing because it was so cute. But you took that as a laughing at you. Or maybe they said you're doing it wrong or corrected you or something where your tiny brain, your little brain, your young brain just did its best to make sense of that attached a negative meaning to that reaction. So you get to an older age. And obviously, some people are more genetically predisposed to having a singing voice, that's, that's going to be able to still be of a good quality despite the limp. And then through practice and upgrading belief, then the voice will improve. But for some people that actually has the opposite effect. And this belief goes on and it doesn't impact just their ability to sing but their ability to to be in front of an audience and using their voice in any way. So you can see now how something so minor can then continue to have an impact going on, all the way through until your current day. Now, luck. Have you heard that? People say you might even say yourself, I can't sing, I can't sing and hold a tune. And is that true? Or do you have this limp that's playing out. And it's just got worse and worse over the years? Because there are plenty of stories about people learning how to sing, and training their voice and being able to sing an adult age when no one believed that they could. And I ended up having this incredible voice. Now apply this to every other moment from those younger years, where people will react, how they react, but our young brain our conscious thinking creates meaning to these things. So we've got all of these links going on all these different areas of our life when we're not operating at our highest potential because we've got these patterns playing out still. So that's childhood grief. Because part of us experience loss, a loss of belief in ourself a loss of confidence. Often when we're young if we you see is the example again we had this not a belief but just there's a joy in the activity. But then someone's react action or someone says something that has them thinking, well, we're doing something wrong or on that's not good or doesn't get the usual joyous reaction from we get from our parents, we buy into it. Now, don't spend too much time getting too worried about this, because we're all running these patterns, we're all running hundreds of them. But the good news is that we can heal that injury, we can slowly reduce the limp in all of these different areas where we're running these patterns. And we can improve, and we can get back to walking or singing or thinking or acting in a way that is more at our best. At full fitness, shall we say, 100% health as possible. And it's by unpacking some of these things that we do have memories of, but it's also then getting some self awareness and reality about what the actual situation is, and how much potential we have still within us, because I know, like me, you've had those moments where you just know you've got so much more in the tank, you know, you're capable of so much more. And you might have thought, If I can just get past this next thing, or if I could just believe in myself more, I could this time where I get this level of performance, if I can just do that. 5% more. Imagine if I do that all the time. How good could I be? And it's about removing these limbs, getting yourself back to your optimum, and then the sky's the limit. You don't know what you're capable off. To keep working on you keep finding ways to let go of these old injuries. And watch yourself fly.
