Getting outside in nature, today would be a good day to record some podcasts out here in the sun. So you might get a bit of background noise kids playing around the place and some cars and sell. Now many of you, I know are in business just tends to be the way it is if you're someone who is driven by helping people and also driven by your own need to improve areas of your life. Most people in that space either have a story they want to tell or they've got a business, or they've thought about it, they've thought about some sort of project I'd love to sink your teeth into. So wherever you're up to, you might have considered writing your own story, your own book, or having a book that complements your business. And one of the things that you may have told yourself is that writing is hard. You might have been told by other people that it's really hard journey, you might have heard people struggles, they hear how often in life, we hear about the story of the struggle. Well, it doesn't have to be that way. Particularly if you're in business, because there's any key golden thread that runs through your life, which is the part that is so crucial to you, and to your personal brand and to your business brand. Because no matter what business line of business you're in, it's your story, which is the key part. And now more than ever, people want to hear real life stories. They're sick of the glitz and the glamour and the the artificial bullshit that we just know is just not true, right? It's fake. And people are just desperate for real. They want to hear important parts. So finding that clarity of story is a key part but a golden thread, the things you've overcome again and again. And again, you might be thinking man, but I sell a product doesn't matter, the story is still important. Your own brand is important. So you're drawn to a memory of a business organization that went to some of their events. And book has been really pivotal in my finding me finding my story as well as a guy there who was selling boats. And it was like, he was told a story like what do I need? What do I need a book for? And anyway, he wrote this book about his own journey and the struggles he went through buying a boat and and then deciding to open his own boat shop. And then the book was how to buy a boat. And it was perfect because it had all the bits said he learned and had his own journey. So that's the most important bit around a story is it's getting the clarity of the story you want to tell. And again, having it aligned to your business journey so that it makes sense to people. One of the other things that you may have been challenged on that have been hard is having the right space. Where am I going to write it? Like how am I going to do this and one of the one of the areas that makes writing easy is being in the right flow and the right energy of environment. I've contributed two chapters two books, collaborative books, telling my story in different ways. The first one was real bad It'll actually took me months to write really struggled with it, I didn't have that clarity of my story. And it took way longer than it needed to back and forth, adding bits on. Fast forward, I worked with a writing coach, and did another collaborative book. And I wrote my chapter in two hours. And it wasn't a short chapter, I would think in a significant amount of words, just just flew flowed straight out of me. Now, one, I'd got myself in my own right environment. So that's a, an environment that will inspire creativity, and for me, very much. And if you if you believe what my Well coach are much, very much bind to this, my whole coaches said is like you have the right environment. So a creative environment you want to have, you want to be in a space where it's like timber, like growth, right. And in growth sort of related. You want to have like a, like colors and different things in front of you that really inspires creativity, each each, all the areas that you want to do need to have different spaces that work. But it was more than just the energy in the space that I got myself in the environment I got myself in, but the the energy that and the space that was created by the coach and publisher, the energy was incredible. When I say energy, anyone who's done a bit of coaching, or they've worked with someone and the power of holding space, so someone who actually takes on some of the load of whatever you're experiencing, to make your load lighter to make whatever you're working through easier. It's one of the powers of coaching, a good coach will know how to hold space. And this particular person I was writing for was actually masterful at this. And I was able to, like I said, two, one hour sessions, right, this story, my story, and it just flowed straight out. And it went to the editor. And apart from two or three punctuation errors. I didn't make any changes. Like I said, the first book was back and forth again and again. So it's really important thing to realize that if you're ready to write your story, it's not hard. Doesn't have to be hard. When you've got that clarity, and you're in the right flow, and the environment, the right environment. So be open to the possibilities of what might be when you've got everything in place that needs to be there before you get writing. Something to think about with the New Year's rocking around. Maybe you've set up the last few years and said I'm gonna I'm definitely going to write a book, and it still hasn't happened. Something to ponder.
