Before we start by one request, if any new insights or awareness land with you during this episode, please send me an email at info at the Ian Hawkins coaching.com. And let me know what you found. I know the power of this word, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.

If you want to excel at anything, having someone to hold your account is going to fast track you. I come from a sporting background, I've had someone there be accountable the whole time, having someone who can see what you can't see, to be able to point things out to make sure that you take the steps that you need to take, you're not cutting any corners. So you could go off and do it on your own. And I hear plenty of people saying that you need to learn how to do it yourself. And I say that to you do need to learn how to do it yourself. But if you want to excel, if you want to fast track, then you have the accountability. It's worth building an accountability to my day, it's why I have someone to answer to to in a number of different areas of my life to make sure that I'm actually taking the action that I've committed to. Because you can do all this different work, you can change behaviors, you can let go of things from the past. But if you don't take an action, you're not going to get anywhere. If you're not taking the steps that need to be taken, the need is going to end up in a loop of frustration. When you see a little improvement, you take some steps forward, but then you end up in this state going on. I've done everything, why am I not where I wanted to be, I thought I'd be further down the track than at this point. And the key to unlocking that, as it counted is action. And the key to making sure you are taking consistent action is having that accountability. So if you're looking at where you're at right now, how can you build that accountability into what you're doing yourself. So building instructions, building in process, at the end of the day, at the end of it half day, an hour, whatever it is, weekly, monthly quarterly. So that's the first step having the structure that you know works for you having the process that you know works for you. Because when performance dips in any area of life, you don't continue to focus on the outcome and work harder and push harder. You get back to process. What's the process that I know will always work for me. It's one of the areas I love helping clients see that how you are doing one thing? Well, you can repeat the essence of what's the most important steps of that process. You can repeat those in any area of your life and you will get success. And if you're at that point where you're ready to fast track where you want things to be even better, then absolutely. Find someone who can hold you accountable. Find someone who is going to check in with you to make sure you're doing the tasks that you said that you've that you would do. So that you can get these get it where to where it is you want to get in the fastest possible time. ends up being the cheapest possible way. And in a way that's going to have you're feeling so fulfilled, reduce the overthinking. And really allow yourself to fully back yourself and go to where it is your only go. As always, if you know someone who would benefit from hearing this, please do share. And please do let me know any feedback you have any thoughts on this, what's worked, what hasn't worked, and what steps you will take to make accountability a reality in your world.
