I know the power of this work, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.
So the before high performance is belief. Because you don't believe that your best performance is there that an improved performance is possible for you that you don't think you can if you don't think you can do that, well, then there's no way you're going to have the improvement in your performance. Because everything about you will take that energy forward into whatever you're doing. And if we look at belief, as a word, we can get caught in our heads, overthinking self doubt, or can like, am I being positive here? Am I talking myself out of it any number of different ways of looking at it. And again, if I draw myself back to that conversation I had in my head as I was preparing my team for the semi final was, well look at that word. It's it's two words to be. And it's life. And yes, it's spelt slightly different. But I'm always looking at the derivative of words, I imagine that's where it's come from. So how you being in your life, that's a much simpler way of looking at it. And that's achievable. In a belief just by being presence, being who you are being the best version of you. If you show up with that, you do all that you can. The question is always, are you being the best that you can? In any given moment? I think we always are. We're doing the best that we can in the circumstances we have. But this is where free will comes in. Can I be better again, if I have a better intention, if I put my mind to it? So when you're going into any situation where you want to have a better performance, it's thinking about okay, what does my best self? How am I being in my life when I'm at my best? For me on conversation, it's gonna feel good. So I'm a networker. I'm an encourager, I'm a cheerleader. So I do that in everything, whether I'm playing sport, whether I'm running. So there's times if I'm in a running event, and I'm starting to struggle older, see someone who's also struggling, I'll start encouraging them. And they'll probably kick on and run off ahead of me, but I'll get a boost as well. Because that's my natural way of being. It's my best performance comes from knowing what my best, the leaf is. My best way of being in life. If you're more a detailed, focused person than been focused on the detail, be that version of you. If you're more big picture thinker, more creative, and that's how you will be that's how you have your greatest belief in yourself because you're doing what's coming easy to you. If you're a nurturer, same thing, nurturing whatever you're doing. Then you might be thinking, Well, I'm more of a person that I need to have that interaction with people for my best performance, but I have to do this particular performance on might. Have you thinking about the preparation for that performance? How can you bring in those other people? How can you have those people in your mind as you're performing? Can you externalize? Can you say things out loud in that moment? Can you imagine yourself doing that? In your own mind externalizing Imagine yourself talking about tried different things. And if you want to go really deep on it, can you imagine? Can you calm yourself? Can you slow your breathing long enough to allow that intuitive side of you to come through and be that other person to bounce ideas of. Because if you pause long enough, breathe, bring yourself to calm, then your intuitive mind will bring you all the information that you need, in that moment. Reveal of bring it back to sport. That's when we have those days where everything just unfolds effortlessly, because our intuitive mind is taking over. And it's slow. It's happening in slow motion. It's like having 100 miles an hour, but somehow we're calm and slow and we're conscious of everything's going on. It's like an override switch is happening because we don't actually feel like we're having to consciously make the decisions and yet they are perfect decisions. That's what's possible when you be yourself, be the best version of you. That's where belief comes from. And that's where your best performance comes from, too.
