As you tune into each episode, you will receive insight into your own grief, how to eliminate it, and what to do next. Before we start by one request, if any new insights or awareness land with you during this episode, please send me an email at info at the and Hawkins coaching.com. And let me know what you found. I know the power of this work, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.

For those of you in the US, this may not resonate so much. But in Australia differently. And from what I'm led to believe the UK possibly New Zealand, there's this tall poppy syndrome which exists, which essentially is don't be too proud of yourself. Don't sell yourself, don't try and show how well you're doing. Don't try and cheer for yourself. Don't try and stand out. Because if you do, we're going to cut you down. We're going to bring you down a peg or two, so that you can just fit in nicely with the rest of us. It's crazy. Why would we not celebrate other people's success? Well, usually because there's a certain level of safety and health having our friends at the same level they were before because that's the person we know. But what if they change? Well, it's a survival instinct. If they change and get better and improve what will become of me. So that's it, survival kicks in and we cut people down. Crazy. Now, I've used this phrase so many times in the last couple of weeks when people have been challenging people to go to that next level. And they're like, Oh, I'm worried about what so and so will think and what they will say. And I'll say the same thing that I said to them one and a half words Falcom people will always have something to whinge about to complain about to cut you down about the matter how you're going to do it anyway. Those kinds of people will always have something like that to complain about. How's that helping you? It's not. Now when and it's easier said than done at times, because some of these people we really care about. But how long will you dim your light, we reduce your performance, so they feel good about themselves. Meanwhile, you don't because you know, you want to be at high performance levels, you know, you want to be succeeding, you know, you want to accomplish so many more things.

So you can choose to buy into the tall poppy syndrome, then keep carrying on like everyone else. Or excuse my alarm going off Amager you can make a choice that you will stick your head above the parapet, knowing it could get shot out. But you'll do it anyway. Because your happiness in life means more than other people's need to keep you at that level so that you can stay safe. And the best way that you can inspire change in other people is by being a role model. That will help them to change as well. And when you're growing, trying to get better. We can't help but connect better with all of those people. You can't help but bring in more unity because you're always striving to be better in that area as well. So don't let the haters drag you down. Don't let the naysayers tell you can't. You go out and do what you want to do. And find other people who will lift you up on that journey because then you will fly above the pack. Find the success that you want. And you'll find the drive for more of it because once you start once you start getting more of it, it just fills you up. It fuels you and drive you to do more and more and more. I believe in you.
