I know the power of this word, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.
It's not a lack of action that's held you back this year. It's actually a lack of clarity. Now, if you want next year to mean something, the time to plan is now think back through the how often you've wanted to take action, but you haven't been sure where to start. You've either got a completely overwhelmed with lots to do. Or it feels like that you haven't really really got anything to do. Or you're just not got the motivation. You feel stuck, you procrastinate. Now there is a number of different things that play out, obviously, around procrastination, and you've heard me talk about them before. In terms of getting action down towards what you wanted to get done in a year. We tend to overestimate what we can get done in a week. And we underestimate what we can get done a year. And generally the underestimation has come from past experience where we haven't gotten things done, we haven't taken the action. So we just assume that'll be the case. Again. If you can find the clarity, have that certainty and have a path mapped out for you. It's no brainer. Every time you get lost it is redirect yourself back to the plan. As I've mentioned before the sports sites I talk about performance tips, go back to process. Your plan is your process your clarity is your process. Take the emotion out any emotion that you might have towards yourself around what you haven't done just redirect to your plan to your process to your clarity. Or if it's a plan that you're doing with other people same thing. Certainty brings logic brings momentum. So that energy that you waste on coming down on yourself and not getting things done is just wasted. Like I said yesterday's episode. Sometimes the time it takes to plan we think is going to be to our detriment. But you know that the lack of planning keeps gets you into trouble, you know that you don't get as much stuff done. So it's time to change. Time to get that in place. Time to get clarity, not just on the plan, but what's most important. Having your priorities right. So for next year, what is most important? Do you even know? Have you taken the time to map that out? Are you living to those priorities? How often do we get stuck in this space of putting work above all? It's a societal pattern. But you can change it you can make the decision that you're not going to be at the mercy of things that are outside of your main priorities. Because if grief has taught me anything that we have to for our most enjoyable life for our most fulfilled life, get clear on what's most important and live by that because when it all comes crashing down, and it will because that's life knowing what is most important It comes straight to you. But why does it have to wait till then? What if you could actually have that in place? What if you could actually know what's most important and through your planning, through your clarity, prioritize it every single moment of every day. Now, of course, you're not going to get it right 100% of the time, but the priorities become a GPS, redirect you back in line, get you back into the right space back taking action, and making sure that things mean something to you that your life means something that next year will mean suddenly. Tommy get clarity.
