I know the power of this word, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.
So the title of this one is a quote that I heard from Dale Beaumont, who's a business coach in Sydney, here in Australia. business blueprint, I think his setup, he's a really good guy. He's done some pretty cool things in the world. Some work with children work with businesses, he's gonna be Golf Academy now. And this quote, you're either green and growing, overripe and rotten, came from him. I couldn't do if it was him directly, but I remember it well at his event, and I'm pretty sure I've read it in one of his books or seen on a video or something. And it's so true, right? There's no standing still, I've learned that from pretty much all the growth, personal growth and personal development and experts, you're never standing still, you're either going backwards or forwards. You're either green and growing, or you're ripe and rotten. So which will it be? When I finished my uni degree, or so either learning? Well, as it turns out, I was so over learning things that I didn't really want to learn. But I'm very committed to myself. And that's it. I'm not doing any more study for the rest of my life, such as the what's the word? The impact of being naive. At the age of one, I've been 22 or whatever, 22 they finished uni naive enough to think that that's it, we need to learn any more. We need to study anymore. From once as I followed them for a long time. And of course, I was learning but I was just made a commitment. I wasn't doing any more study. So that mean, I stopped reading. I stopped finding out anything that might have been beneficial. Man, it didn't keep me stuck. But worse than keeping me stuck. It just took away all ability to grow and to feel the fulfillment of achieving different things. Now, sure, there were moments where I was improving, and there was desire to improve and a whole lot of different areas. But because I was trying to do it myself, it just took time. But it's that learning from people and fast tracks everything. It's could be while you're listening to this podcast, to receive wisdom that's going to be helpful to you. It's just such a gift to receive from people have done the hard yards and can help you move through navigate through whatever you're experiencing. So my question to you is, have you stopped learning? Have you stopped growing? Are you missing opportunities? Because you are learning the same thing you've always loved. learning things to support your current beliefs or are you open to what you might find? Because when you're open, you'll learn new tips and tricks and awareness around things that you couldn't even comprehend when you stuck in that same repeating thought process. Now this is not to say that there aren't times where you just enjoy where you're at. And then like Jim Rohn called in Join plateau. But even the plateau is either growing or rotting, either moving forward or moving backwards. So even that plateau, continue to put in place, your daily disciplines, the foundational work that needs to keep going. And just enough of what you need to keep moving forward, even if it's just small, incremental steps. Otherwise, you'll slowly slip backwards. Problem is with Robin, Robin, you don't notice after a day, you barely notice after a week, and then after a month, you might start to see the signs. And then suddenly, when you're feeling pretty damn rotten. It's all too familiar. It's all too real. And importantly, you can't just grow in one area and not in others, because everything affects everything else. So making sure you're looking at your life, all the elements, all the aspects, all of the parts of you finding ways to grow, finding ways to learn, finding ways to be green, and growing.
